Okay. So far I have

knife (used), batteries, a green i, blue r and red v...

EDIT: Now got

a remote (put batteries in) that needs a code number, and a yellow n. Need some sort of card to go into a slot and a code number for the air conditioner (?)

Edit: I've tried on the chairs and seemingly everywhere but no luck. I got 2 memos there though.
Have you gotten anywhere with the code for the remote?
Gonna have to quit until there is more help here. Not getting any where.

I think on one of the chairs... (maybe not?) thought I had it selected. Yep, where I got the memos. Nothing further yet..

EDIT: Tried

using the order of the 4 memos in the shelf of books and used which number they were in the alphabet; i.e., n=13, but that didn't work for the code...

I'm missing the final item. I'm sure I've clicked everywhere but I can't see a clue to a four-digit code.

Okay .. I'm out but I still don't understand some of the "clues". There are different codes appearing with different values for the ac unit but the "hints" inside the box just confused me.
Does anyone understand them?

My top two inventory spaces are blank... and the last one. Can't get a code or something for that 'slot' machine thing! Figure I haven't used the knife yet either, but it won't cut anything!

OK This is what i've found :

Every time you get a 2 digit number, enter it as a temperature on the remote.
The first (14 from the clock ?) opens a rectangle in the wall under the AC unit.
Flipping the ID card gives you 38 wich when entered in The AC unit reveals the box code on a wall (above books) .
Inside the box you get another code (25 - which is much better as a temperature ;-) when again entered in the AC Unit, reveals a word above a door (rgbbgy) wich gives an order for colors.
If you match thoses 4 colors with the letters you have you should obtain "virrin".
Go back to the inside of the box where you see a matching between 3-letters words. Notice that a letter on the left always have the same correspondance on the right (w is e, b is n). From this "table" v is unknown, i is o (from rio->top), b is n (from ayb -> sun) and n unknown so "virrin" becomes "_otto_" which is probably "bottom" and is where tu use the blue key.
Et voilà !
