Where do you get the rod?

I need help with colour code. I've tried the same sequence as the place card colours as is, and alphabetically (last names and then first names) and I've tried placing the first colour of the sequence in all four positions.

the 4 hearts, rod, knife (used), bent straw, and tablecloth (cut & tied)... now what???

Can look on upper right of curtains to get something

4 Hearts (used & no longer in inventory)
rod (used & no longer in inventory)
knife (used again & no longer in inventory)
bent straw
diamond
tablecloth cut/tied
