Did you notice

the Japanese characters on the screen? Now look at the circular calendar thingy and match the symbols/characters on the calendar with those on the screen. And be sure to pay close attention to the colors of each one.

Hung the lantern & noticed the clues but something's not working

I have red cow, green bunny, pink ox, and orange dog

Am I missing something?

Edit: Duh--had to back up and look! Got

and stuck again. Also have 5 beans, missing 3rd one, but can't get

toolbox open

Where is that key.... off to search some more!

More progress: Found

knife, map, and secret passage, but still can't get that third bean (thought they were worms) until I get the key to the toolbox

And what is that up in the closet?

Made lots more progress, but still stuck!

found the view with the toolbox key--finally, grew seeds, got vine & down to the secret room, gave the box all 6 worms (?), 'read' the green book, still have knife and bowl.

Where is the 5th colored thingy (looks like a worm), and what do I do with the vine??

Oh, deedle, I can't remember where that one was... check some of the older posts (they gave me clues). I'm still stuck where I was! As for the vine...

open it and click so it will 'braid' itself. Then put it on the thing of water in the secret room. Click again, and it will go down the secret passage. Don't forget to go back and get your lantern again before going down!

Have you made it any further than me yet??

I'm not sure which colored thingy you're looking for but here are the ones I have so far:

yellow: rice pot, blue: click left side of screen when zoomed in on rice pot, red: from doll in closet, green: desk drawer, pink: in locked drawer of cabinet, and blue: in the toolbox click the lid

click on the inside of the lid (or around there) a few times... another blue one shows up
