in the screen wth the 16 hexagon shapes there is a shaded circle at the top right of the screen.. click there to get the batteries

Excellent game ....

For help with the car ...

add the car to the magnet and ribbon in the gold frame/box in your inventory then click on the side of the car to add the batteries

I usually hate hexagonal rooms, ubt this one was fast and easy. Really liked it!

@ SUE: I don't remember which marbles/dots are where, but have you tried

under one of the corners of the carpet

or

in the flower vase (you have to knok it over)

i have ,it is very easy.
