click around the briefcase and you will see a hint for the briefcase code behind the it. Just look at the three items drawn, and count how many of each item you have seen in the game.

I think I got a sad end. Papa Bear didn't look happy, and there was no waving.

I got in the boat and drove away, and the Papa bear just stood there and watched. Then it went to a scene where there was a house on a the hill and a conversation ensued. Papa bear appeared in a square on the lower left, but none of it looked happy...

When you are headed back up the stairs and are facing the door to go back inside, you'll see there is an arrow to the RIGHT. I believe that's where it is. (It's outside the building in the area with the boat.)

Thank you, thank you EscapeGirl. I would never have found that. I thought the arrow just went up or down the stairs. Should have it now. Had to start over because I switched computers.
