code was simple enough, it was kindof a repeat though

How do these things relate?

the grey grid from the "painting" and the individual colour grids

So far I tried

counting the number of squares on the grey grid that are also on the colour grids but that started to become nonsense. Then I tried adding the grey squares to the coloured squares to see if they FORMED numbers and that didn't work either

I'm stuck on the code too. I thought I had it from the first shape but it didn't work for the rest.

Are basically shifting the top three boxes on the left right once and the bottom three boxes on the right left once. Here is an example:
