the lampshade has a Blue heart= 2, the wall plate has a yellow diamond = 9 and the sink has a brown spade = 4

Noticed the objects on the shelves are arranged in colours.

1,4,7 - brown, 2,5,8 blue and 3,6,9 yellow
A combination of these number arranged according to the code colours - brown, yellow, blue does the trick

It was a terribly dissapointing end this really.
An unfortunate confusion arises when the card symbols are reused in combination with the items on the shelves!!
Otherwise this game is great and really should only take about 10-20mins depending on how switched on you are.

I thought the book referred to the stars in lower right of shelves - the stars on the right - 2 on one string and 2 on the other - 3 of one color and 1 of another. 22 31 13 .. none worked.

Nanna Joy - just count up the left and right groups of stars it will give you a two digit code that can be used....
