What did you used 3 times ? Only the thermometer seems available and I used it several times...
Do I need to do something in between ?

Found the other ending.

Don't use the thermometer when it asks if you want to use it or not after giving the medicine and doing the other things. Go back to the other room and there will be another mailbox ring visible. Jump, and then go use the thermometer.
