Just make sure you highlight one of the sticks, and then click around next to the hanger to place it

You have to try 1 cm off the coat hanger where the round ends would go

I have been. Seems like for a half hour now and it just won't go!
Maybe that is the bug that the author is denying.

I give up. My clicking finger is just about worn out.

Yes it is highlighted. I have clicked it over and over again just to be sure. But the box is definitely around it.
I have even removed the colored pegs and reset them and it still won't work for the star one.
I just removed the pegs, circled the room, double checked the clue, replaced the colored pegs and still no go. It has to be a bug but I am not going to bother restarting to see if that helps.

Are you sure you highlighted it? Sometimes my items didn't get highlighted when I clicked them.

I think I figured out what to do with the red, green end blue thing. Just the yellow star thinghy won't go anywhere
