I've used the oil, have the sword and a whetstone. And getting familiar with the eternal dark. Hint?

Skewer the first robot's foot with the sword and examine his corpse!

I'm doomed to eternal darkness here... all I can manage to do is pick up the whetstone! and die! Oh, found something else to use, but can only kill one dude... the other gets me every time! ugh.
