Got 3 more things. 3 things used. Having trouble with another .. didn't have training for this! Grrr! red won't go. blue was smooth as pudding.

Restarted - things that almost waved at me first time are not showing up unless I click that area several times - evidently went below ground. Should have made notes as I don't recall where one thing is that allows me to get two more things. if I remember right.
Edit - watched a TV show and did email. I have 8 items but still having the same problem. Perhaps I'm missing something. I'll check back. to see if someone says they used 9 or 10 items.

Some items where pretty hard to find until I used zoom on 125%.
