Found what I think is the hint i.e answer to colour code but cant seem to get it to work...

look at the colors of the frames and enter zodiac signs accordingly

green=capricorn red=aquarius blue=cancer orange=scorpion

put the template from the door over the paper with the colored shapes so that the color of the number matches the colored frame of the holes

Kira - each symbol represents a number. Counting how many of each you see out window. Put them together to make 2 3-digit number which you must add together.

I can't pick up the key from the gearbox. It doesn't go to my inventory and when I move away and open it again the key is back.
