Just the light puzzle is getting me. I've been trying a bunch of different things but for the life of me can't get it!

So far I've got

a screwdriver

found in blue box, the book is a hint to it's code

which I used on the panel next to the tv to get hinges and 14 screws
I then got the door knob

red box, the cube is a clue

I've also got a remote with 2 batteries

one under owl's wing, the other next to chair

and I believe that the tv is a clue to the light puzzle

using the hint, I believe that the shadows are roman numerals, which would make it

V I VI IV (5164) or V I IV VI (5146)

but none of those have worked for me on the desk,

so now I'm stuck.

Ok, I stopped playing this after I posted that, so I went to bed and now that I'm refreshed, it took me like 2 minutes to get out from there.

follow the sequence of the letters i.e g u i d e is in the shape of a 7

they are roman numerals, when you've worked them out turn them 180 deg (like a mirror image)like

V I VI IV = 5164 flip them to VI IV I V = 6415
