I'm using Firefox, too. I think it has rather to do with
- either the installed fonts on your system (missing Japanese fonts), or
- your character encoding

I have the following setting in my FF:
View -> Character Encoding -> Auto-Detect -> Japanese

weird.. I just changed the settings you mentioned and restarted firefox but still same black square.

It's no big deal because I can normally play Japanese no problems, I guess this one will just remain a mystery

Just repeat the pattern, ie the individual numbers placement on the 2 x 2 grid, in order from 1 to 6.

I entered the code I got from the lightbulb on the panel by the fan (an electrical outlet, I assume). Nothing seems to happen. I clicked push and clear and the remote. Am I having technical difficulties or just being stupid?
