It took me some thinking but I got it.

This is really annoying. I'm looking for a scrap of paper with purple numbers on but I can't click on anything else .. as far as I can see. Oh well, I'll keep trying.

There are areas that are slightly different colors under the movable shapes. They indicate what position to move the shapes to. If you can't see them you may have to adjust the brightness of your monitor.

I did place on those spaces. 3 of them. Am I missing one? clicked on sign .. Then decided I need to duplicate the sign and no luck with that either LOL
