in the book shelf.
Front view bookshelf, click upper right part, click a bit below the thickest shelf.

Hmmm the codes

1608 or 4608 don't work with the white box.

Yay, I opened the box and got a key.

The symbols on the white box are standing for the digits 0-9. Blank would be 0, the next symbol is 1, and so on.

Write down the numbers from the code on the door in this symbols. And subtract visilual the lines from the second number from the first number.

This will give you the number

1912

Use this number to open the white box.

Thanks Adventure! This game is too difficult for me. Unless you come up with the solution I am going to give up.. hehe.

Well I just opened the white box (see my spoiler in the post above).

But Now I am stuck with the switches. It's obviously related to note with the red/black blocks, but don't know how to interpret it. I thought that maybe..

If there are more red block in a column the belonging switch must be turned and if there are more black blocks in a column you don't turn the switch.

But that didn't work. Also not the other way around.

edit: I am afraid this game is also too difficult for me.
We need more players!

Got another idea that didn't work, but might inspire others

Think in rows in stead of colums.
First row (the upper row) tells you to flip the first (=most left) switch only.
Click red button.
The second row tells you to flip the first and the fifth switch.
Click red button.
The third row tells you to flip the first, second, and fifth switch..
And so on..

I was quite certain this would do the trick not no avail. *sigh*

Hint for the switches

When trying to do the switches:

Think of it in stages. If you look at the first row only one is red, then the second there are two...

The clue gives the order of switches to be turned on - far left first, then middle right, etcetera...

After solving the switches I got:

dirty plate which I cleaned

Now I'm stuck again...

Got another item .. took me forever! Think I'll hang it up as it is after 11:30 and I need to see to email.

Switches explained further (hopefully better)

To do the switches:

Note there are six boxes in each row and six switches. A red box is on and a black box is off. Each row is an individual step - kind of what the switches should look like after each step.

For the actual switch order:

Numbering the switches 1-6 from left to right switch in the following order: 1, 5, 2, 6, 4, 2(switches off), then 2 again. Press button and the middle drawer will be able to be opened.

Now I need help - can't figure out what to do next!

Now I accidentally pressed a link above the window and I lost the game. I think I will try again tomorrow, hopefully one of you can get out while I am sleeping! LOL

Okay, finished it with help.

after washing the plate, look at it in about item, then wash it again.

Now you see lines you can use on the white box again. After put in code you click on grey place where you got gold key, nothing happens, now use magnet and get key for the door, and out.
