You need the rods for the code.

Use scissors to cut the rope between the "nunchaks". One behind the cupboard. (Click the cupboard on your left when facing the door) One of the legs of the stool in the cupboard. (Use scissors again)

I love the Engrish, I got a "hummer" but it most definitely looks like a hammer
