Can someone explain how the 4 x 4 puzzle works? I never have been able to figure those out. Is it some type of magic square?

Scissors: each row and column has # 1 through 4 - no repeats in a row or column. More info. the # inside heavy lines solve the math - so in this one two numbers are easy to add. 6+ would be 2+2+2 or 1+2+3
Well, did discover something new but still stuck on other problem.
EDIT: see while I was away from computer no one left me a clue *sniff*

Thanks, NJ, sort of like a sudoku? The smaller numbers are obviously clues (48X, 6+), but what are the plain numbers for?

@scissors, that is the clue for that box. If it says "3" put a 3 in that box.
