So... not easy for me! So far

key (used) 4 gears, a lever, 4 colored triangular papers (green, red, sky blue, and orange), a place to enter a 3-letter or digit code (not a clue on that one yet)

Progress...

scissors (used), another key (used), placed the colored papers I have but need a bright pink one...

You can turn left from the place where you can place the triangles

the one at the bottom of the screen at the fabric corner
the one from David
the one from the painting in 2nd room on left

Gears:

1) in the hair of the female bust (first screen)
2) in the painting where you find the scissors
3) at the very bottom (left ish) of the screen where you use the scissors (text input box screen)
4) in the left-most painting after the first locked door.

Missed the 'turning left' view! Out!
