Damnit, my computer froze, so now I have to start all over again! In the meantime, could someone tell me exactly where to click at the stove? Because I have the same problem as Ree with going down to the stove instead of the hood.

Click on the little yellow light you see once you are facing the screen of the stove. Then click on the light coming from the broken button and get the clue.

I wrote down the shapes on paper and wrote the 3 numbers above them where i got them.. mine was
?? 1 1 9
triangle star X Square
table Rice maker egg
then i put in _ 119 and went thru the numbers for the 1st 1 and it opened on 6 i think

Hmm...turns out it's true about not feeding the mouse, it dies and you have to start over But I think that perhaps you have to feed it, then take the key and then take back the cake so that it doesn't stuff itself.

Umm...oddly enough, the first two times I started the game, the knobs on the stove said MXI. Now it says IXI

god damnit, was stuck so gave the cake to the mouce. i tried to take it back but it didn't work and he died. i'm NOT doing this over.
if someone posts a walkthrough i'll settle for reading the ending...

It would seem weird to me if the mouse dying is actually the right ending, because then why would the potato chips be there?

Perhaps you are indeed supposed to give the cake to the mouse, but NOT go back to see that it has died.

I figured out the trick to getting the number from the knobs on the stove

About the stove:

When you have set the knobs according to the drawing inside the hood, you will have a small calculation. The middle knob will always have the letter X on it, and you will either not have to turn it, or turn it 3 times, and perhaps also 1 time. That way you get a plus or a times operator.

I have not seen this yet, but it is possible that you could get an I as the middle knob as well, instead of an X, which then by being turned one or two times would be a divisor or subtraction operator.

The left and right knob will have an M, I or L on them. And when you turn these according to the drawing you'll see that the M is really a 3, the I is of course a 1, and the L is a 7. Then just do the math and you have the number for the upside-down triangle
