Tower Escape is another room escape game from Rooms2Escape.
The king caught you sneaking around the castle and locked you up in the tower. Now you must find items and solve puzzles to escape! Good luck and have fun!

Got fork, torch, cog, 2 white marbles, 1 green marble. And had other items that I've already used

Hmm, can't unlock purple book. I thought it was about

counting colors on flag

Found metal rod

on right bookshelf

Found blue marble

in fire

Put rod and cog now.
Now to figure out the dial settings...

Found red marble

behind lose brick near 3rd dial

Ah, found code for purple book

Hmm, but what do those letters mean

Ah okay opened red book and understand what the letters are

Ha! Moved levers, and am at a safe now where

I can put marbles

And out!!!

I just can't seem to figure out the book codes. It makes no sense to me, but I bet it's simple and I'm overthinking it. Any help appreciated.

Here was my hint for the purple book.

For the red one

counts the different colors of the dots on flag

Oops..I got into both books..but I can't figure out what to do with the roman numerals and the letters. hahaha

You see the letter sequences in one of the books. The other book tells you which numbers they are.
Use the first sequence on the dials (note that they are numbered with I, II, and III), then move first lever.
Then use second sequence, and move 2nd lever, etc.
