There's a bug in this game.
To get the last code you first have to collect two wood chips.
Use them on the candles to make them burn.
And after that start lighting the bottles, first with the wood chips and use the match last.
In any other order (first the match, or first using one wood chip and later cutting another wood chip etc etc) it won't work and you won't be able to finish.
Too bad because the rest of the game is quite good.

what happened to my awl? don't see any changes - just noticed it disappeared. Oh - think I know what I did as I can use another item.
Had to break for dinner. I have not found a place for my one item - the other I am waiting for wood chips which I've not found. I've tried to cut all kinds of things. I'm evidently overlooking something.
Gave it a go and only got one letter on a vase .... hanging it up since evidently I was too slow or ? Gas would only fill one vase or so it appeared. tried several things ..
so bye!!

I should have read this before wasting so much time
