having trouble with the triangle puzzle

Out. I had so trouble with the red number puzzle. I just didn't mke sense to me, but did eventually "get it."

count all the possible triangles, not just the colored ones. i.e. there are 16 small ones, plus the large outide one, etc. Then square the number of triangles to get the answer. Someone posted it above.
