Start with the 2 last cells down right vertically and take care of the last line also

16 can only be got with 7 and 9.

If you put 7 down you cannot obtain 17 horizontally on the last line.

So the only possibility is having a 9 down right...

20 squared=20x20=400. Just remember

It's not all small triangles. Some are medium sized, and some are large.

I got the the amount of triangles right but I just didn't know where the second part came from but thanks for the explanation, got it now..

8+8=16 also but I think it is not allowed to use it like this..
