Ok, so what's with the coloured paper that's blank when you examine it?

I found it really glitchy, had to restart 3 times due to items becoming stuck in the inventory bar. Found it hard to place the camera, then could not place the laptop so placed the other items first at which point it wouldn't let me touch the laptop again. in the end i gave up!!! haven't got the patience tonight, i think i'll try another one
