Strange Room

I'm new posting, but I've been coming here to play the escape games alot lately...I have to say this is the first time I have ever figured something out on my own (although I haven't escaped the room yet, I have figured out the code and what it means!)

EDIT!!! the codes from the painting and the mirror change!!! So you will have to figure your own code out, but I have mine posted here as a template that you can use to help figure out your own!

The code from the painting is

A=1/4/8/12/17/41/44
B=28
C=7
D=0
E=24/33/49
F=11/43
G=0
H=32
I=13/22/35/45
J=0
K=0
L=14/46
M=3/16/23
N=5/9/18/37

The code from the mirror is

O=0
P=0
Q=0
R=48
S=25/36
T=21/30/39
U=29/47
V=0
W=0
X=0
Y=19
Z=0
*=2/6/10/15/20/27/31/34/40/42
,=26
'=38
* indicates "space"

You work the code out by simply putting the letter or space in it's proper spot, so "A" is in spots numberd 1, 4, 8, 12, 17, 41, 44 etc. When you put all the letters, spaces and punctuation in the right place you get a saying.

When you put it all together it works out to

A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure

I'm guessing that it would also work to figure out the saying on the teddybear? maybe? edit (the teddybear seems to have only one purpose and the code from him apparently doesn't mean anything)

edit 2: I made it out!!! I didn't have the cd, key or the extra paper, but I figured out both codes for the panel on the wall!!!

The batteries are

inside the soapdish looking thing that lights up that is in column 2 row 2 of the inventory, you have to click kind of on the bottom right side of the bottom tray.

Is anyone allowed to post a walkthrough, or do you have to be a member for a certain period of time?

yes anyone can post a walkthrough as long as u r signed in, i have everything and still can't get out-------anyone willing to help me?? with a walkthrough..........Please i even have 3xtra items and still can't escape.

Hope I'm not giving away to much.The three numbers are code1
the sentence is code 2 (use the "music system"?? on the wall to enter codes)Oh and forget about that stupid teddy

My sentence was:

ahhhhh!!! okay, well, then since the codes change, it really only affects what you enter second on the box on the wall.

if you have both sets of codes (the game won't let you progress until you have actually unveiled the codes from the picture and the mirror) the next step is to click on the bottom right button on the box on the wall and it will pop up asking for "Code 1" or something like that (now is when you enter the numbers from the ashtray, apple peal and burnt paper, in that order so it's 253) then it will let you enter "Code 2" and that's when you type in your code saying, once you type it in, it will give you the rest of the saying and you can then go to the door and escape!!!

I was in the middle of posting a walkthrough, but I kept having problems with getting the code off the mirror and I timed out with my log in I was so excited to be able to get out of a room without much help this time!!!

Stupid teddy, it's only purpose is to be a guide of some sort a very distracting one if you ask me

the codes must be case sensitive,because it wouldnt except my sentence until i capitalized the first letter.

for the life of me, I can't remember how I got the code off the mirror!!! I'm going to bed, it is 2am here and my children are bound to be awake in a matter of 4 hours or so to see what Santa brought them...

this is crazy i enter the number code and the when i enter the adage( i have tried it with and without asterisk) it comes up error whats going on ??

Maybe the code from teddybear is needed for another way to get out of this room. That should be the one you have to find CD and a key.
If you find that way, could you post the walkthough too?

the asterisk is actually a space (as the little birdy showed on the first piece of paper that you got saying "asterisk=space" ) and it's case sensitive, check out eil's post

first turn to the bed

click right pillow to get cd

go to the cd player on the wall(same place u enter code the other way)

drag cd over it

music will start to play and screen will fade to flowers

when its over, turn and click on the flowers to zoom in

click around on the pink flower to get the key

face the picture

then click the arrow on the bottom of the screen

drag key to the table

then click on the front edge of the table

u get the piece of paper with a strange url i cant get to work
