Escape from the Thing is another point and click ,escape game from FreeWorldGroup. While running from the THING, you corner yourself in an attic. You need to make sure it can not break down the door and get in - then you have to make your escape.

The way I used them (not sure exactly how it all worked...) but

padlock on door, plank, hammer and nails to fix ladder ??

I don't like it that the items stick to my cursor
Planks are not used although I though the ladder could do with some new planks
