The obvious solution for cylinder isn't working. Anybody gotten further?

I've got a stick! I'm slowly getting there. Have played with my knight - why?
eyelids slipping down .. have paper with word, key, codebreaker thing - did numbers in square on right. I'll just have to let the rest wait til after a nights rest.

Got the toolbox open and done a lot of things
Have uncovered 2 safes
One I can put in numbers, if I knew them, and the other one I can't

hmm, looked at a walkthrough and I was missing a piece of paper...restarted and got the paper now and also know now why I didn't got it before...I had already solved the toolbox

I'm in...found 2 paper pieces, pencil, rod, uncovered 2 safes (1 will allow a code), found hole, see something to lift(?), opened toolbox and see puzzle.
Not sure what to do with puzzle (I tried to click as per knight move...didn't work) still searching...
Okay got the Knight puzzle and now have pliers and key.

First click 'knight', then next 'spot' he would land on, then next, etc until all clicked.

Used screwdriver, now have new item which gave access to a push button.

Screw under chair.

Opened left safe and now have key.
Opened mirror and now have 2nd screwdriver.
Stuck and viewed help....you supposedly can 'see' code in barcode (I couldn't).
