I love gotmail but I think I'll have to wait until there is an English version because I am so not getting it

Oh, figured it out!!

Outside at the balcony: You must turn over the page on the note outside to get a blank paper. Only then you can move the log and take the coal.

I used the last item and all makes sense now. Out! Thanks for your help Old Biker.
