Stuck with some sort of torch...it won't go where I want it to go

Finally found the pixel on where to use the torch/hammer
Now where to use my new found item? I think it is called a stalactite
Tried it in the hole but no go yet
used on the floor, got a log and now I am out

Kzin, at far right of commercial is "close".

Found bag, torch, pot, stone, rope and diamond. Modified torch...made now sense?
Filled and placed pot to get chest /w 2nd diamond.
Placed 2 diamonds and now have access to hole.
Knocked down stagalite and thanks to Yvonne, knew I had to dig for a log....and out.

Thanks I know, but I had one that was reaching into the game window...I kept clicking it....and I will never buy this game it showed me
