Navigation takes getting used to...otherwise funny

You have to be really careful as may be L/R directions in each view...not just arrows.
Found book, 2 coins and now have yellow key.
Now have 2 more coins and rod....not seeing anything else nor getting book clue....?
Need paper for part 2 of combo...see picture combos (no idea what to do there?).
I can't seem to do anymore...
Found help, Japanese is require.....next game.

Thanks for the nav instructions, Graywolf. The book tells how many coins you need and something you hold will help you get the fifth one. The Chinese character that looks like a zero means "mouth". Carefully compare the two pictures on the back of the idol and you'll be on your way.
