got two ends ,one with happy coin

I found the period

And out with the happy coin

One circuit around the room got me a can and a mug. Going further got me

a can opener (look in the book for purple Mr. Birdie code) and a key (use can opener on can). Use key on ladder and get green doll from rafters.

Now I'm stuck. Not getting the picture clue at all. Ok, thanks to clio rose from EG24, it's

Moving on, I now have

a Mr. Birdie on a stick, and he goes between the two other birdies. You get a spade key, and that opens the box on the far right for another green doll. Place the dolls on the chairs next to the star clock. Used the number of dots under the birdies for the box clue on the middle top shelf (547) for a hat with a scratch ticket. Put the hat on the birdie on the other side of the room for a screwdriver. Undo the two screws in of the clock/chairs and find a bunch of towels in different colors and numbers.
