I put the things away and used my card key and 3rd sword, now there's a ticking clock between the snow and the safe.

No problem,

Put away everything, so only tools not greyed out are the 3rd sword and the card key.
Put card key in the slot in the wall, push it in with the sword.
I'm trying to remember what happened, but I got a little key, and think I used it in the middle of the clock, nothing happened...

Thanks, but how do I find a slot in the wall? It is not currently there.

1. put tail on cat and placed into bookshelf
2. put books away
3. put gray box in safe
4. put sickle into pitcher
5. put pitcher back on top of shelf

note: sword 1, sword 2 and goddess are already gone to get sword 3

did I miss something?

I just restarted so I could get my steps right...
What you did matches mine... but I have a slot in the wall between snow and safe, as soon as I put the books on the shelf...

I did the sickle-vase first
Then the box in safe
Cat-tail on shelf
Books away
Slot appeared

Daisfunky, the sickle is the hook thing from the pile of books.

The statue and sword make the room colder, check the snow box often to see when it freezes.

sickle = bookshelf latch - it just looks more like a sickle

sickle is an item used to cut crops on a farm - also a weapon, accessory to the famous "death" figure - if still confused, start watching "Family Guy"
