Stuck!

Just started and I'm stuck already!

I've got

a grey rock (used), an empty bottle (can't even pick up!), a yellow piece of paper (sandpaper perhaps?) and a beetle (don't know what to do with it though!)

It appears that you can speak to the guard, but seeing as it's not an English game, nothing I type in is accepted.

Can anyone help me out here please?

EDIT: I've now found

a magnifying glass (seems magical!)

under the bench (right side)

I did the same as you but didn't get

the gnome!
