Not directions but symbols....eg/ Sun rises E, Penguins live S, etc...

Found dustcloth, into 2F....
I can go back and forth. Have 3 bars and note.
When stuck....try the cats.
In 3F....
I see I need 4 bars.

Big to small cats...each cat needs to try to click the lights....last one took a bit of clicking on window cat and then bottom up to work.

At the top, back to get ring. Need to drive nail, not sure /w what; searching....

So far I've

opened the compass box, got the clippers, turned on the tap, and found 1 rope in 2F, and that's it.

Haven't figured out where the keys are, yet.

Ah, I found

The rag next to the water trough.

As for the light on the 4th floor,

have all three cats there, and have them reach just a little more to get to the switch. It should be a major clue in that room.
