when you use the telescope on window the note has 4 colours on it blue green yellow and red find the notes that colour and they give you the code type it in use the key card then back off and the door is open

ok. I figured out the

Piano. The white key before the two black is C.

The rest is easy to figure out after that.

I know I'm being stupid, but I play the piano and I can't for the life of me figure out what it means when the music says to play "H", since this is not an actual music note. When I try to play a G sharp as a substitute it doesn't work. Any help?

Youre only dealing with the black keys, disregard what they said.

They're in alphabetical order as well, the first is a the second b third c and so on.

Thanks for the hint, but I tried using the first black key (the one with the green paw print) as "A" and going on from there using the black keys, but that still isn't working for me. Am I doing it wrong?

I also tried playing the songs out of order in case the order changes from game to game, but no luck.

Oh for the first time you use it:

use the color order from the food list thing in the first room:red yellow green brown brown

my mistake, stuff from the diary is when you use the keys the way i said before.

Thank you, but I already did the food order bit, and I've been stuck on the songs from the diary since then. Right now I have a musical note showing on the cat "chalk board", and I have the music from the diary for the next step. My problem is that I can't play these songs on this backwards keyboard.

Maybe there's another step in between the food order "song" and being able to play the songs from the diary? Am I missing something crucial here?

When playing the songs from diary, you only need white keys. The one under the yellow paw is "C". The next ones (to the right) are D, E, F, G, A, H.
