Himatubu Escape Game Walkthrough

(forgive my english...)

1. get screw driver from rear of the end table below the window
2. open the wall outlet and get silver key
3. get hook-armed stike from right-side of the large cabinet
4. use the hook on the ceiling above the door, then get golden key
5. use golden key to unlock the cabinet with lock, get paper with knife pattern
6. there's also a paper with formula on it, you can calculate ?=168 and ?x2=36
the clue is here:
suppose N=14 (the 14th letter in alphabet, O=15, then NO=0 means O-N-1=0;
likely, AC=1 means C-A-1=1...
then IQ x ER x PS = (17-9-1)x(18-4-1)x(19-16-1)=168...
7. find the 1st safe at the middle-right side of the large cabinet (above where you have found the hook-stike)
8. there's a clue given above the safe, we can get the code 144 for this safe.
9. unlock the safe with the silver key and 144 then get a knife.
10. zoom at the bottom-right corner of the large cabinet, look at the paper with knife pattern, then use knife at where the knife pattern indicates; then use knife at carpet near the bottom-right feet of the cabinet, a blue button will emerge. push it.
11. another safe will appear near the room door, unlock it with code 336
12. get the milky key and unlock door to get out.

The formular isnt that complicated.
The numbers you should get, is the number of letters between the 2 letters:
IQ=7 (I - JKLMNOP - Q)
ER=12 (E - FGHIJKLMNOPQ - R)
PS=2 (P -QR - S)
7x12x2=168

Why times 2?

I understood the entire game including how to solve the equations but WHY do you have to multiply the last answer with 2? Where was that clue given to us in the game?

i can't find the knife!

is there another knife somewhere because everytime i click on the paper with the knife on it, it goes back to my inventory. and, when i have the paper open or closed either way, it doesn't do anything. can someone please help me?


EDIT: yay! i found it! it's vacation, so my brain shut off.

Is anybody having difficulty finding objects? I have clicked every inch of the bench under the window but there appears to be nothing there.
