Going on a cruise now

Pressed 4 buttons and now have letter 't' plus single coin; still need drawer key, 2nd coin and up/down button code....

Couln't replace letter, but pressed 'leave' and letter 't' place itself in center; then entered word given from button clue.

Out on deck now....
What am I doing wrong..have L-R clue, but not able to open box...?
Found it....I needed to first solve Up/Down....now have part 2 of the L/R clue.
