I can't figure out the ladder rung! I have the brackets on, but now I'm stuck

I have 3 papers, powered up the panel

Try to find a set of screws somewhere on the ladder...then maybe look inside whatever you find. The blue piece is apparently a piece of blue tape.

I am sorry to be so dense...I found what I asked for, but how to you get the thing back down, or where do you find a key to open it?

Okay, I did everything up to where I am at the ladder, got the rung , blue tape & flashlight. Have not gotten the thingy to go BACK up , haven't gotten key! Any help to get me back on track ?? I have 9 items in inventory. What do I need to do ??

Where are the so called "brackets" at ?? I have White pipe thing, did the flaslight with magnets too!

Okay, I am out but never got the brackets! Oh well! You guys were awesome in your hints!

ahhhh...ok...now, how do you get the shaft back down??? I am usually good at this

the shaft doesn't go back down, now you have to find a key to open the small door

Edit:

there's another key behind the light's panel where you found the screwdriver, you need the flashlight, tape, and magnets to get to it.

Haha, it's all good.

You need to find the key. Look for a little dark space that someone wouldn't be able to reach with something as big as their hand.
