There isn't a bug in the game. If you look at the bottom of your inventory list, there are arrows to go to the next list. The black key will be on it.

As mentioned there was a bug when the game was released, which has been fixed at a later time by the game creator

That is so true when I first played the game and it had that bug with the black key that was so freakin' annoying heck I thought it was all apart of the game but finally managed to get it after it was fixed lol

well it did that a long time ago when the game was first out gamershood was the only one that didn't have the bug in other forums the bug is there and the key disappears

The black key does not disapear

If you look on the bottom of the inventory part you will see MORE iwth two arrows either side click on the right one and this will bring up a second page of the iventory

And now the FILES opened and the black key just disappears...

But I'm not further yet.
