Thats the part I'm stuck at, just after the hairpin...

I figured it out...finally, now I don't feel like a dunce anymore...it was simpler than I thought...lol

For the puzzle after the hairpin

In the book with the lock on it shows you the value of the 3 colors:

Red = 10
Green=20
Yellow=30

It also shows you the color for plus and minus.

In the puzzle itself the top row is +20, +10, +30 and the bottom row is -20, -10, and -30. Some of the blocks are already filled in on the puzzle, so you need to put the correct blocks in place so each line adds up to zero.

Just think of it this way, if the number already there is +20, you would need to put a -20 to equal zero. Negative subtacts from the total and positive add to the total.

I accidentally solved that water puzzle so I can't tell you how to solve it. I just kept pushing buttons until I won...
