anyway the only things that can still be used in the inventory is the bear and the hammer...

You still have the feather. Give it to the cat. Then take the ball.It's impossible to have a full inventory.

Yep, Hitman is right, you still have the feather. You have to use it like hitman told.

Edit: But wait.. You can't use (highlight) the feather anymore? In that case you might indeed have a bug and have to start over again.

but I cannot select the feather anymore!

I just tried starting the game all over and I am stuck in the same place.

EDIT:

ok I started the game over AGAIN for the fourth time and this time it I was able to get the ball. the other times, i used the feather and tried to click on the ball again, but was unable to get it AND I couldn't use the feather anymore... must be a bug!

Try not collecting too much items at once. Collect some and then use them.

Edit: The feather must dissappear. The ball appears on it's place. Weird...

@Hitman, it is indeed odd. Or there was indeed a bug or you have to click a very specific spot.

I was wondering the same thing when I was playing the game. I couldn't do it without doing some other things. What usuable items do you have into your inventory?

Did you first:

get the key out of the bear, fixed the bear with the needle and thread and put the batteries into the bear?

If yes..

just select the bear and click on the chair.

Edit: if it not works, Hitman is very probably right and you first have to do other things.

I´ve got the bear, of course :-), then

a needle(used)out of a box of matches, ball, crashed with a hammer and got battery, 2nd battery, sth to hang the mirror on the wall, and sth looking like a tight crowbar.

What´s with the lamps??

The lamp by the door ...

You use that lamp to reveal a feather behind the right plant by the door.

Use the scissors on the bears head and put both batteries behind him?
