Okay, I just bought a new laptop too and it doesn't work on that either. And yet it works on the outdated computers just fine. I give up.

Weird, I went to my wife's computer that didn't have Java installed at all, loaded up the latest version, and then copied that file into her Java install folder and the game loaded right up.

Failing that I guess you would need to install the older Java environment, version 1.4, found here

Download the JRE and not the SDK. You will need to restart after installing, but that is guaranteed way to get this to work. This game had better be really good after all this trouble.

Hello, I seem to have found a few commands. "go forward" "turn left" "turn right" "move picture" after that I am stuck!
