What the heck do you do in the room with the

broken switch i assume you have to put the wire on the broken like but it saying something about "arranging it"

What do you mean with wire thing?
The dark room? If so:

Drag the wires onto the lamp, then the switch will work

Hmmm... Maybe you need to do it in a certain order? Or did you miss another step?

Did you unlock all areas possible on pc? Did you try first the switch, then clicked lamp, then dragged wire on it, and then clicked switch?
Did you find all other items (I think 2 pictures and a note, battery, and tool to break the door)?
