I'm back and I've done the following

Did puzzle to get lamp base. blew up machine, gave apple to mouse, got battery, put in lamp base. hit dictophone w/ wrench, got 2nd battery & put in base.

know where various items are to pick up when needed.

Having trouble with
wd40 - cap doesn't appear to stay off to spray on anything.

Which I think I need to do before progressing.

I got the red thing off the radiator - used wd40 and wrench

Ok, I have all the necessary items, I just can't seem to put them together. I have the

raincoat, boots, umbrella, gloves and acid.
