got red gem green gem and blue gem and what to u need do to whit them dont know

Finished with the bad ending despite having all gems placed.
(doesn't it put the in the right places automatically? Ie:- it'll only let you put them in the right spots?).
how the hell do you get outside without breaking the damn window?
How about a FULL walkthru for the good ending.
