If you click on the broken mirro as an item, by cliking on the " about item " button, you will see a reflection of one location in the salon, go there and use the item.

I have the batteries in the remote control but I am still not able to use it on the AC. I have even started the game all over, But I am still not able to use the remote.

I just clicked on the air condition and I think it just worked, remote control became dark in my inventory
