So, I got most all the items, but after killing the roach, I somehow used the keycard on something but dont know what. Ive been checking around places, but cant get to any new areas.

If you mean the door upstairs, you must

find coin and a card, use coin on the card there is the password, I can't tell you the password cause there will be different everytime
