you have to click on the yellow item after you put it in the hole, it'll turn, showing an hided panel in the wall

ive gotten to the balcony
and done got out with the gear
and now i have a key with a gear looking handle
and i have no clue what to do with it

Edit : Nevermind, i found the basement, but now i think i have all the peices right, but im not sure.

i made a snake, bird, person, seahorse, adn something im not sure about. i used the scenes of the gems to figure out what to put them in but nothing happened so idk what to do now

I have the triangle+square x circle= key, and that all plugged in is 3150, right? So why won't the drawer with the venus flytrap open when I put that in?
