You should have gotten the meaning of the teardropAfter you douse the photo in cold water, use the paperclip in that spotand the starright side of left couch cushion. If you click the yellow squares in the puzzle, they turn into letters. So put all three words (the one for star and teardrop, and LOVE at the bottom) in there. It should look like_FUN
PAIN
LOVE
Drag the numbers you know over the corresponding letters, so you get_FUN
84IN
LOVE
There are two of one letter - and two of one number. So that's pretty obvious. And you know what those two numbers added together equal, so now you know one column of numbers. You're not adding anything to one of the numbers, and there isn't a second one of that number so you must need to use the next higher number, and from this you know you need to carry the one from the previous column. You should be able to work out the rest of the numbers from here.

Am I the only one can't take the cup?
I chose the hard level, are you playing this level as well or easy one?
got it, I'm out, the cup is not necessary, once you got A=4 and N=5, just solve the equation.Last edited by blackjoe; 03-11-2008, 08:46:43.人我之际要看得平,不平则歧;

I never noticed there was a hard mode. I guess in Hard mode, you can't pick up the cup and the slider puzzle becomes more jumbled. I just went through it on hard and completed it in only five minutes.Originally posted by blackjoe View PostAm I the only one can't take the cup?

I read that many people are stuck on the slider puzzle, some giving up half way simply because of it, I thought I'd post the solution to it.
The puzzle seems to be the same every time I start the puzzle, and in any difficulty too.
Imagine the spaces (not the tiles themselves) on the grid are labelled 1 through to 9.
So it would look like this:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
The numbers I post in the spoilers correspond to the tile you need to move into the empty space. So all you need to do is just click the 'numbers' in order.
Solution to Slider Puzzle:
2, 1, 4, 5, 8, 7, 4, 5, 6,
9, 8, 5, 2, 1, 4, 7, 8, 5,
6, 9, 8, 7, 4, 1, 2, 3, 6,
5, 2, 1, 4, 5, 6, 3
Remember, once you have done this, you should have the empty space in the top right corner of the grid (in space 3) and you will need to find the last tile to finish it off.
EDIT:
Thought I should add, the puzzle doesn't reset unless you restart the game, these are only directions for completing the puzzle if you haven't touched it.Last edited by Asgara; 06-30-2008, 06:19:22.

Well, like an idiot I'm up rather than getting my beauty rest (needed in the worst way). Almost 1 a.m. - at least I can save and pick up tomorrow sometime. Maybe should have just started over as I can't get back into first room. Maybe I'll solve tomorrow. Wondered about the heart picture w/ math problem .. maybe I'll dream of a response to that.
Balls? Didn't see any in my slider in dark room .. missing something evidently.
Well, according to above post, I need to start all over .. I have no idea what order I clicked and I've added the extra tile. *sigh*
Room 1
4 pieces of maze that gives code, paperclip, handle (used) from book, P doesn't = 0 from book, key from right cushine, tape from drawer (used on paper), screwdriver lenghtened, and cup with 8 on bottom.
I have not done puzzle. Note you can click on circles and get letters. Hmm.. end up with two Es and two Gs - and only have 1 # that there are 2 of. So much for that idea. None have a P so maybe going with wrong words? See I need water before doing this (post 47) so ready ? for dark room.
post above mine is clue - where did those # come from though. Was there a clue or reasoning for doing it that way?
now what?
tape, wrench, maze marked in red, screwdriver, cup, paperclip, flashlight, picture, gold key, red pencil
did the word puzzle .. hmm.. swapped two numbers still see nothing new. *sigh* Feeling dumb.
Aha! Got a big red X ..
which lead me to thinking *ouch* .. I'm at last out .. and can start dinner. Hubby needs food now and then.Last edited by NannaJoy; 06-30-2008, 22:33:16.

@aries, are you playing in hard mode? I think the pencil is only in the hard mode... it's where you foundthe screwdriver
Can someone help me? according to earlier posts, the P is an8but for me, the P isin the blue book and it is a 0
Totally stuck on that last puzzle, so annoying, have been playing this game on and off for 2 days now!!! grrr!
Dear God!!!! I have FINALLY done it! Seriously annoyingly difficult! By the way, where I went wrong was thatthe book says P does not equal 0!!!!Grrrrr!

so after you solve the grid puzzle with the bouncing balls, you have one tile missing in the upper right... to gind the last piece
click on the black squares under the sink; one of them will be the piece you are missing
to lenghthen the screwdriver
you need to "about" on the screwdriver, and click on the blunt end, then the screwdrivers should turn and the blunt end will be facing you.. just click on the end and it will lengthen
to find the code for the tear drop, you will need the paperclip found here
in the blue book, it was the clip used to fasten one of the maze pieces in place
Once you have the paper clip
click "about" on it, and click all over the clip and one side should straighten
now, go to the
square clock and click on the lower edge, all over, and the clock should turn flat and the end will face you.. you will see a little hold; use the paper clip on this hole and something will slide out..
then zoom out
Now, how do you know if you are finished? I did everything i could think of and now i feel there is nothing else i could possibly do..
ohh I found an alternative use to the screwdriver, you use it in teh dark room here
go to that hole in the wall you created earlier and its where you found the key.. zoom in on it and take the screwdiver and click on the back wall
I also found earlier, where you find the red pencil
zoom in on that box on the wall and you can see the red pencil, take the screwdriver and click on the back panel and you will here a noise.. i heard the noise before i saw anything happen.. but a noise is good right?
And now you can get the red pencil..
its kindof a little late for me, and possibly you, but here is what you do with the red pencil
'about' on the maze-paper and use the red pencil on it..
once you use the red pencil on the maze-paper
go to the blue book again, go to the where the handle used to be and put the maze paper back in the book
after you do this
sift through the book again; you will find a code of some sort;idont know what it means yet
Oh now i know what it means.. i had already figured it out though
It's another code to the box with all the number in it
the message is
actually a code F=7
ok i found out how to get out... once you feel you have done everything in the posts and after you solve the final puzzle (the equation), than you
think that you put the answer to the equation (love or 9160) into the door but
you get a red X
so look back at the puzzle and put the correct numbers corresponding to the work 'open' and than you are out
Use the spoiler above to solve the sliding puzzle.. the complete walkthrough is hereOriginally posted by Asgara View PostI read that many people are stuck on the slider puzzle, some giving up half way simply because of it, I thought I'd post the solution to it.

2, 1, 4, 5, 8, 7, 4, 5, 6,
9, 8, 5, 2, 1, 4, 7, 8, 5,
6, 9, 8, 7, 4, 1, 2, 3, 6,
5, 2, 1, 4, 5, 6, 3

Confined: For those who enjoyed the previously reviewed Ambivalence, there's a brand new game, Confined, just released today from the same Japanese developer, FonGeBooN. This appears to be a fairly standard point-and-click room escape game until you dig a little deeper. From what I can tell so far, pixel hunting is minimal (though present), instead the focus is on puzzle solving, which is always a plus when it comes to games like this.Last edited by Adventure; 08-18-2008, 22:35:26.
